My journaling journey

I have been journaling ever since I can remember, although it was more of a seasonal, spur of the moment mood.

I am not constant with journaling, just like anything in my life where nothing is constant. But I started taking journaling to heart around June of this year, where my world was a little bit older, crazier and in a daze.

My pursuit for journaling did not stop from writing. I started to hoard buy more stationery like washi tapes, ephemera, journaling cards (which is yet to be used) and planners / journals.

Recently, my mom cleaned our old house and found some old text books and magazines. Why we are keeping old stuff, that I still can't explain. But thanks to my parent's inability to throw anything, I was able to find this gem. This was a page was from my Grade 5 - MAPEH (Music, Arts, P. E. and Health) book circa '97. Yep, that old.

Putting it together with a quote I found only that I wanted to put in my journal and there, that's my journal entry #44. My journal is not aesthetically pleasing, sometimes, I, too, do not like how my journal turned out but I have to keep on journaling or else, I had been long admitted to a mental facility.

I've been in love with black since time immemorial. My clothes are always black, I wanted to paint my bedroom black (and white, of course, which dd not happen by the way, since mother hen did not approve it, neither did my husband. lol), all my things are black, black, black, black. haha

And now this washi tapes for journal and planning. Most of my washi tapes are either black or vintage/travel themed. Mostly muted colors.

Let me know your washi tape collection too.

BOOKSALE haul Part 2

Part 2 of my BOOKSALE haul. This wa a bit pricey for a secondhand book, priced at Php210 or about $4. This too would be perfect for my journal.

BOOKSALE Haul Part1

Last Friday, I decided to go to SM City Sucat to unwind. Brought my kids along, we stroll until we stopped at BOOKSALE. I was looking for an old book to use for my daily journal -- something that I could tear and use as backdrop or ephemera. And luckily I found this Anne Taintor collection!! The price was a steal too for Php130 or roughly about $3. I intend to go back and buy some more. Hoping I could chance another Anne Taintor collection.
